For job seekers, you’ll need your ID number and basic details like name and contact information. Employers will need company registration details and contact information.
2. Do I need an internet connection to register on SPAAN?
No, you can register using the USSD platform by dialling *120*77226# on any mobile phone. Remember, USSD is charged at R1.50 per 20 seconds.
3. How do I register on SPAAN?
Registration is simple. Dial *120*77226# for USSD or visit the SPAAN website and follow the prompts to sign up.
4. What does verification cost, and what does it include?
Verification costs vary depending on the service (e.g., ID verification, fraud check, matric certificate, driver’s license and bank account). ID verification is standard and compulsory at R31.05
5. How do I pay for verification services?
Payments can be made via a payment link sent to your mobile number or email address, EFT or direct bank transfer if you are using the USSD, and through our payment gateway accepting debit cards, credit cards or apple pay if using the Spaan portal. Detailed instructions are provided during the payment process.
6. How long does the verification process take?
The duration varies depending on the service. ID verification, fraud checks, matric, drivers and bank account verification is within 24 to 48hrs, while qualification and criminal record checks may take up to 3-5 working days.
